Pyrite ore mining spontaneous combustion is often encountered in major disasters, at present more and more spontaneous combustion caused by disasters, people's attention, and the urgent need to be addressed.This paper will use the thermo gravimetric method pyrite characteristics of spontaneous combustion in the process of research, using thermal gravimetric analysis that does not require complicated structure of the mineral component analysis can also record the process of pyrite spontaneous combustion temperature increases with the quality of changes in the whole process of According to the experimental TG curves of self-ignition process of mineral samples to identify the characteristics of the temperature point, and by comparing the different heating rates and the sulfur content of mineral samples and characteristics of TG curves of trends in temperature points to explain the spontaneous combustion of pyrite mechanism to analyze its characteristics, obtained in different conditions was studied. The use of thermal analysis kinetics of activation energy of pyrite calculated to compare the different kinds of activation energy of the size of mine, in order to judge their self-ignition characteristics of the possibilities and provide the basis for spontaneous combustion.
