In actual working conditions, torque axis is usually designed as the weakest link in transmission system, which protects the motor and the main transmission. The 3D solid models of the thin coal seam shearer clutch, which designed by a coal machine company, were built in Pro/ENGINEER;Analyze the dependability of the torque axis of the coal seam shearer which designed by a coal machine company based on the Finite Element Analysis software ANSYS. Get the stress-change rule of different from U, V, and Coniv-groove torque axis. Through study of the description parameters in the gap effect on torque axis, find parameters which affect the torque axis stress. Draw up the stress-time curve, and optimize the configuration of the torque and examine the dependability and rationality of the improved torque axis with the active peak-value load, which got from the Automatic Dynamic Analysis of Mechanical Systems software ADAMS. It will provide a basis for parameters design and research of torque axis gap effect.
