Open-pit slope stability is an important part of engineering design of open-pit mine and is the hotspots and focuses in the studies of modern mine economy and safety. With the development of open mine project and continuous enlargement and depth of mining scale, instability problem of open-pit slope is increasingly serious. Therefore, evaluating open-pit slope stability in time is an important link on ensuring mine safety production and obtaining maximum economic benefit. The paper is in the secondary development of AutoCAD by VBA (Visual Basic Application),the object-oriented program design language in the development platform based on AutoCAD,set up engineering geological model of Pingzhuang west open-pit mine and develop slope stability analysis system based two-dimensional rigid body limit equilibrium theory. The most dangerous sliding surface of slopes can be easily searched for through slope stable analysis system and corresponding stability coefficient is calculated out.Meanwhile, engineering geological model of Pingzhuang west open-pit mine is taken as basic, ansys software used as intermediary,SLOPE3D three-dimensional rigid body limit equilibrium software can be used in slope stability analysis, put forward landslide prevention measures and provide important basis for Pingzhuang west open-pit mine implementing successfully steep slope cross exploitation and inner dumping.
