Open pit slope steady is the premise of open pit mine safety, efficiency, stability is a research focus in the field of geotechnical engineering problem of slope. In recent years, the number of China's open pit mine increase gradually, and its production is also large increase, which means how to the actual conditions of open-pit mine, the scientific evaluation, reasonably proposes the side slope stability and landslide prevention measures become technical personnel mine problem.In order to ensure the Lingquan open-pit coal mine east help the efficiency and safety of mining field, and analyzes the engineering geological and hydro geological conditions, based on the physical characteristics, deformation failure mode and the weak layer and sandy conglomerate in combination with slope typical Lingquan open-pit mine, the first mining area of potential failure mode for non working side slope; using rigid body limit balance method to calculate the stability coefficient of slope at different sliding mode and the stability coefficient of slope to reduce load on the slope; stability of RFPA was numerically simulated using, expounds the evolution regularity of the slope rock mass stress field, no working slope landslide mechanism reveals, and determines the landslide mode for the "circular slip surface" based on the stability of sliding; profile simulation results, proposed the corresponding prevention measures.
