According to the requirements of bra design, and based on breast shapes classification, this thesis is mainly set at exploring a way of obtaining three dimensional breast shapes and comparing variation features between shapes of natural and reshaped breast. A three dimensional underwire was designed on the basis of reshaped breast, and the variation law of breast bottom shape was concluded.Firstly, several measurements related to breast shape were summed up, and statistical analysis software SPSS 16.0 was used to analyze these measurements, and key-measurements of breast shape were found out which are under-bust girth and breast depth width ratio (DWR). Then, the breast shapes were classified according to the"new bra sizing system".Secondly, take the kind of breast shape which possesses the highest occupation ratio (new bra sizing 75B*) for example, an experiment was designed to obtain the breast shapes and compare the variation between the shapes of natural and reshaped breast. Then, three dimensional software Rapidform XOR was used to model the breasts under average natural and reshaped shape. 48 linear regression models were fitted to describe the variation features between natural and reshaped breast bottom shape, which the variable Y represents the axe value of reshaped breast bottom shape, X represents the axe value of natural breast bottom shape and breast measurements. As long as the natural three dimensional breast shape data was got, reshaped three dimensional breast shape data could be calculated.Lastly, Two three dimensional underwire was designed in accordance with the average natural and reshaped breast. After comparing the shapes between the two three dimensional underwire, it can be seen that the shape of three dimensional underwire was changing with the breast bottom shape, and it should be to satisfy the requirements of fit and comfort by bra.
