The split-type fiber can split to microfiber which has finer diameter and larger specific surface area. Using spunlace technology can make split-fiber split and tangle to formation microfiber spunlaced nonwovens. The products feel soft, high water imbition, high clean function,can be widely used in artificial shammy, high-performance cleaning cloth, etc. This paper focuses on the split-fiber spunlaced technology, fiber split and tangle theory and the influence of splitting ratio. Analyzed the influence of splitting ratio by carding process, spunlace technology process, two-way stretch method. And adopted fiber diameter distribution method for its splitting effect evaluation.This paper studies the influence with spunlace process parameters on the split-fiber nonwovens tangles performance and splitting effect. Split-fiber was treated by carding, spread nets and entering the spunlace machine. Single factor experiment used to analysis the spunlace pressure, spunlace times influence of fibre tangles performance and splitting effect. The research showed that fibre tangles performance and splitting effect was improved significantly with the increase of spunlace pressure and increase spunlace times when other conditions remain unchanged, The increase of splitting ratio can further raise the tangles coefficient. This paper continue using orthogonal experimental method, obtains the spunlace process optimum technology was the 60bar of first spunlace pressure, the 60bar of second spunlace pressure, the 80bar of third spunlace pressure.This paper proposes used two-way stretch method to increase the splitting ratio which has has simple process, no environment pollution and no damage on fiber, and the two-way stretch tensile load, tensile speed and nonwovens structure factors effect of the splitting effect was analyzed. The results show that the cross spread nets split-fiber nonwovens well suited to two-way stretch method. The splitting ratio was improved significantly with the increase of tensile load and the tensile speed.This paper adopts diameter distribution method to evaluate the effect of splitting ratio. Experiments using computer digital image signal processing technology, measuring the specimen diameter of fiber diameter distribution, and make calculating the average diameter. The number of microfiber was increased, and the number of split-fiber was reduced after the two-way stretch treated. It is basically the same with the teaditional splitting ratio. The two-way stretch method can used as a new kind of evaluation methods. It also indicate that two-way stretch method has simple process, no environment pollution and no damage on fiber.This paper also tested the adsorption and breathability of the sample after the two-way strecth treated, and the result showed that the higher splitting ratio made the higher adsorption, the cleaning properties of the sample is better. But the splitting ratio had no effect on the breathability of the sample.
