With the increasing consumption of oil resources and reduction of recoverable oil resources, oil shale attracts much attention and then becomes alternate energy sources. Three-phase separator for oil, gas and water is a key device in oil shale surface system. The recovery mixture will implement oil, gas and water separation through gravity settling, collision and coalescence in horizontal three-phase separator. In this thesis, the inside flow field research of three-phase separater for oil, gas and water is based on the issue that how to improve the separation efficiency of the horizontal three-phase separator.Firstly, separation mechanism of three-phase separator for oil, gas and water is stated on the part of multiphase flow rules. Governing equations of multiphase flow and mixed model is acquired by mathematical deduction, as well as eddy viscosity model of three-phase turbulence----standard k-εmodel.Secondly, the thesis takes a CFD method and applies FLUENT6.3 which includes three different entrance components (baffle-type entrance, upper case type and lower case type) and five different rectifier components (vertical plate type, horizontal plate type, pore plate type, "Tian" font and cylindrical plate type) to simulate the inside flow field of horizontal three-phase separator for oil, gas and water. And the simulated results from different circumstances are compared and analysed.Finally, come to the conclusion:(1)Under the conditions of not requiring predissociation, lower case type is the best one in the three entrance components. (2)For the five rectifier components, vertical plate type, horizontal plate type and pore plate type have secondary vortex in flow field, the rectifier effect is not good. There is no secondary vortex in "Tian" font and cylindrical plate, and "Tian" font is the best choice. When actually make a choice, users can take an overall consideration of rectifier effect and economic benefit for "Tian" font and cylindrical plate type and then select one of them.The adopted methods and the final conclusion in this thesis can be reference for designing and developing new type horizontal three-phase separator for oil, gas and water.
