Cement industry as an important basic material industry in national economic construction has attracted much attention. However, there is highly controversial in the cement industry due to high energy consumption and high pollution of the environment. As a result, in the condition of the energy and the environment is getting more and more serious. It’s an important and long-term task to reduce the energy consumption and improve energy utilization rate of the cement industry. V type separator and roller press as supporting the use of cake scattered sorting equipment, the performance directly affects the production efficiency and energy consumption of the whole cement production. Therefore, optimizing the structure of the separator, and improving the efficiency of the powder selecting machine is one of the important methods to reduce the energy consumption of cement production.This paper starts with the improvement of the parameters of the baffle plate structure of the powder selecting machine, and the influence of the structural parameters on the internal flow field is investigated by the simple analysis and orthogonal test respectively, in order to obtain the structural parameters optimization. What’s more, gas-solid two-phase flow method is used to simulation optimization results. Firstly, the motion equation of the particle in the separator to obtain is established according to the structure and working principle of the V type, and the factors that influence the particle trajectories are obtained. The 3-D model of separator is builded, and the grid discretization is completed by using CFD ICEM software. Then, the separator’s internal flow field is analyzed by using FLUENT software. The influence of single factor on the internal flow field is considered successively by means of simple analytical method; and the optimization of structural parameters of baffle plate is obtained by using orthogonal test method based on orthogonal table, the range analysis and matrix analysis methods through relatively few trials. Finally, this paper uses gas-solid two-phase flow to verify the optimization results of the separator structure by considering two aspects of the separator’s total efficiency and classification efficiency respectively.
