Temperature measurement is an important part in the industrial production and scientific research. In many cases, the purpose of temperature measurement is to get the temperature field characteristics of the specific area. Such as industrial heat treatment furnace and pottery industry furnace, their product quality and the temperature of the distribution is closely related. In the paper, the temperature field was described by the spatial frequency, statistics and variations in the structure, and proposed the spatial features analysis of temperature field through the distance. The research showed that the stability and uniformity of the temperature field meet the kriging premise. At the same time, the collecting system of the temperature was designed by the CAN bus to provide a platform for the experiment.The temperature field estimated of the roller kiln was further researched on the base of the analysis of characteristics of the temperature field, the spatial structure features of the temperature field was estimated to offer observation basis for kiln temperature field control by the limited temperature measurements. In the paper, the inverse distance weighted, trend surface method, kriging estimate technology, etc, were compared and analyzed with each other, it was concluded that kriging not only considers the relative position of the observation points to the estimated points, but also the relative position of observation points with each other, especially, the result of kriging is better in few observation points. Finally, the ordinary kriging with the spherical model of the varigrams was applied in the temperature field after many theory models of the variograms were compared, the estimated precision of temperature field can reach 10-3 level by the Error analysis of the simulation experiment and the result of cross experiments.
