"Chongming Three Islands Master Plan" clarified the developing position of Chongming as an important strategic resource for sustainable development in Shanghai. Under the background of eco-island construction, Chongming should take the opportunity of establishing National Sustainable Development Experimental Zone, vigorously advance Chongming wetland carbon source/sink research and make contribution to carbon sinks and to the adjustment of Shanghai's industrial structure. Information Sharing System for Chongming Wetland Carbon Source/Sink which was built with computer technology is helpful to the solving data isolated islands and to the data sharing and exchange of information. It has important significance to deeply develop study on Chongming sinks.Based on the data analysis and user requirement analysis, the service-oriented Information Sharing System for Chongming Wetland Carbon Source/Sink is designed with database technology, metadata technology, Web Services technology and GIS technology. In the aspect of data sharing, this paper takes basic data and carbon thematic data as the main content. In the aspect of information release, the system provides carbon information to internet users with flexible and diversiform forms. The main achievements in this paper are summarized as follows.Firstly, based on the demand analysis, the function module and frame of Information Sharing System for Chongming Wetland Carbon Source/Sink were designed.Secondly, as the system data is various, the management of the relational data is realized with Oracle. ArcSDE is used the manage geospatial data. The carbon metadata modeling of wetland are formulated. It realized the centralized management and sharing of data which is distributed in the physics based on metadata technology and Web Services technology.Thirdly, geographic information release method is research in the article. It analyzed and realized the dynamic updates mechanism of Geographic information service based on ArcGIS Server for ADF and ASP.NET. The information release Website built with third-party controls and network techniques could provide users with flexible and diverse information services on carbon.
