Fresh water is a precious resource, and is closely related to human life and production. Currently, the shortage of freshwater resources has become an important factor restricting social development. The face of the shortage of freshwater resources, you can use sea water, brackish water desalination and wastewater reclamation and reuse, etc., but desalination is particularly important. Electrosorption technology become a new desalination technology developed in recent years, which advantages include energy saving, no secondary pollution, simple operation and shows a broad prospect. In this paper, a self-made activated carbon fiber electrode adsorption desalination device is used, using single factor analysis to study the effect of electrosorption desalination factors, to get the optimum voltage, distance, velocity, flow length. Using the above results, analyze the activated carbon fiber electrodes for the removal of cations and pollution factors and prevention of activated carbon fiber electrode during the operation. The main achievements are summarized as follows:1. The effects of voltage, electrode distances, flow rate and flow length on the adsorption of activated carbon fiber electrode desalination effect. The results show that: within a certain range, the greater the voltage, the shorter the distance between electrodes. The smaller the flow rate, the longer the process, the better the electrosorption desalination effect. Taking into account the actual operation, the best parameter to determine is: voltage was 2V, the electrode distance was 1mm, the flow rate was 0.56m/min, the flow length was 31cm, and then desalination rate can reach more than 90%.2. Using the above results to study the Na+, Ag+, Cu2+, Pb2+ and Fe3+ removal. When the length of the flow was 31cm,the results showed that: the adsorption rate of monovalent ions is slow, the highest removal rate is twenty percent; with the price of the smaller ion radius has the effective removal and can be easily attracted to the electric double layer; trivalent ions have the fastest adsorption rate and best removal effect, the removal rate is up to thirty percent.3. Pollutions and preventions of electrosorption were analyzed, the results show that: chemical pollution is the main pollution, followed by organic pollution and microbial contamination, prevention methods include pre-treatment processes, such as acidification of the main pre-pre-stripping, and Electrodes exchange. The acidification was used to bring down the concentration of HCO3- in the running water,it is very useful to improve the removal rate of electrosorption. At the same time it can reduce the tendencies of tarnish. So the acidification of pretreatment is an effective way to solve problems that which were induced by HCO3- and also is more important way to prevent the pollution of organism microorganisms. As the by product of electrode can control the breed of microorganism, so electrode adsorption desalination device during normal operating is very difficult to forme the problem of microorganisms pollution.
