| Associated fluorite resources is abundant in China, fluorite was recycled as a by-product in such deposits. Because of the fluorite was inhibited strongly by waterglass in the previous flotation process as well as the flotability of fluorite close to the gangue minerals calcite, its flotation recovery is very difficult. Aiming at this problem, this paper developed efficient activator ANE aimed at the fluorite which has been depressed, and the selective inhibitors acidizied waterglass aim at calcite, based on the systematic investigation of the flotation behavior of fluorite and calcite and the mechanism of action between agent and mineral, greatly improved the comprehensive utilization level of the fluorite in the accompanying fluorite deposit. The main research results are as follows:(1) The fluorite which has been inhibited by sodium silicate can be selective activated by fluorin ion, while the calcium ion can strengthen the activation performance of fluorin ion to the calcite which was inhibited by sodium silicate. Solution chemistry shows that the dissolve degrees product of CaF2 is smaller than CaSiO3 and CaCO3 when pH is between 3.8 and 13.4, so the fluorin ion can desorption the CaSiO3 precipitation already generated on the surface of fluorite, and realize the purpose of activation for the fluorite which was inhibited by waterglass(2) When the pulp pH is between 4.5 and 8, and the pH value of the acidizied waterglass is between 6 and 10, then the flotation of calcite can be selective inhibited by acidizied waterglass which has little influence on the flotability of fluorite. So acidizied waterglass is the efficient inhibitors in the flotation separation of fluorite and calcite. Activited colloidal [nSiO2] is the main effective constituents of acidizied waterglass in inhibiting calcite.(3) The qualified fluorite concentrate containing CaF2 95.03%, CaCO3 0.24%, and the recovery of CaF2 62.13% has been gained from the tungsten flotation tailings which contains CaF2 25.27%,with the heip of new activator ANE and inhibitor acidizied waterglass. Compared with the conventional flotation process, the recovery of fluorite has been raised by 30%, which effectively recovered the fluorite from tungsten flotation tailings. |
