Global climate change has become a very important international issue. In the past the year -2010, there were many extreme weathers, such as the whole drought, heavy rain and some others,which caused great losses. In order to cope with global climate change, The countries of the world launched a series of negotiations and cooperations. At the same time, as a big responsible populous country, China should also shoulder the responsibility in the filed of global climate change.This article is divided into four chapters:The first chapter is about the global climate change in the Post-Kyoto era. Firstly this chapter introduced two most important treaties on global climate governance "the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change" and the "Kyoto Protocol", their backgrounds,roles they are playing and the dilemmas they are facing. Then, this chapter introduced the challenges we are facing in the Post-Kyoto era on global climate governance, and analyzed the international community's positions on global climate, these groups includes the European Union, the umbrella group and the "Seventy Seven plus China.'The second chapter is about the global governance of climate change. Firstly,the chapter named the definition of global climate governance:"Through the joint, cooperation between the various levels in the actors, and the using of policy instruments, financing mechanisms, rules, procedures, knowledge, the actor intervent climate change, and address global climate change. " The analysis is about four aspects:governance issues, governance bodies, governance levels and governance forms. On this basis, this chapter elicits the ways to global climate governance. The various actors of the international communities should play their full roles because of the globality of the global climate change. Climate change is a global problem that requires global solutions. The sovereign states, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, business media, should fully play their role in the governance.The third chapter is about the threats and challenges China is facing.China is severely affected by climate change. And there is an urgent requirement to slow global warming through energy saving and the reduction of the greenhouse gases. But itself faces many difficulties. This section firstly introduces the adverse effects the climate change caused and then analyzed the challenges in the field of resources and environment in China's development. And it is just these challenges that caused the predicament in China's energy saving and emission reduction.The fourth chapter is about China's strategic choice in coping with climate change.China is a contracting state in "United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change" and the "Kyoto Protocol" and has been playing a very important and positive rule in the international climate negotiations. This section firstly analyzes China's principled stand in coping with global climate change. And then analyses China's policy options, including actively participating in international negotiations and cooperation, domestically attaching strategic importance to climate change, actively carrying out energy saving works, developing new technology for renewable energy exploitation and utilization.Climate change is a long-standing problem that requires the unremitting efforts of the international communities, and the Chinese must actively respond to climate change, make emission reduction commitments. By developing low-carbon economy, China can transform economic growth mode, improve the relationship between man and nature to achieve sustainable development.
