The Global Climate Change Problem From The Perspective Of Eco-politics And China's Strategic Choice

In recent centuries, with the rapid development of science and technology and the rapid progress of industrial civilization, human beings created the unprecedented economic growth and material wealth, but also brought the unprecedented pressure to earth's ecological environment. Especially after the 1960s, the contradiction between human beings and the nature became acute, and the global ecological crisis was increasingly fierce. Currently, the environmental problem has become an important element of international relations. With the environmental damage seriously, international environmental disputes emerging and the importance of international environmental cooperation growing, the environmental question gradually relates with the national security and the foreign policy. Among these, climate change problem received the international community's intense attention. In global integration's today, China is playing the pivotal role in the global stage, simultaneously is also facing the huge climate diplomatic pressure. As one member of the developing countries, also one of biggest victimized countries for global climate change, China must respond to climate change by a positive posture and join to the global government actions. We urgently need to make long-term strategic considerations, and to develop appropriate strategic planning. For these reasons, this article analysis the current global climate change problem from the perspective of eco-politics, and strive to use the concept of eco-politics to respond to ecological crisis.
