Generally speaking, the workers in heading face have to confront with the problems such as high temperature, high humidity, the lack of lighting, small working space, single color around them etc, which have a very important impact on workers' physical and mental. Therefore, it is great significance to think the workers and the environment in fully mechanized excavation face as the object of study and analyze their individual characteristics and the relationship between them.This paper introduced the application of man-machine-environment system engineering in the coal mine and its research status in domestic and international as well as detailed analysis subjects and content of this system, and then regarded man-environment subsystem as a starting and carried out the analysis about man-environment coupling relation under special circumstance of fully mechanized excavation face. Finally, the impact of lighting, temperature, noise, color, vibration and other factors on the environment were described respectively, analyzed the characteristics of various factors and their adverse effects in such special circumstances.Coefficient method was used to calculate the brightness values of various lighting conditions in fully mechanized excavation face, and through experiment to measure the speed of miners supporting processes under different lighting conditions, and then analyzed the impact of lighting on work efficiency for the miners in fully mechanized excavation face. Referenced to comprehensive evaluation index of light environment in construction industry, we found out the lighting environment existing problem in WU10-31100 machine lane and WU10-31010 machine lane.Thermal comfort of the bodies was studied in heat balance equation, thermal comfort equation, thermal comfort evaluation and other aspects, and field surveys were statistical analyzed on miners'weight, metabolism and temperature, thus proving its variation. Through MATLAB software to analyze the trend of blood pressure changes about all age miners, we draw such conclusion: in a production class, with the growth time, the consumption of physical workers and the severity of fatigue, it will be an increasing trend of man blood pressure, as well as these trends are differences for different workers in different time. This research would play a catalytic role in improving the safety level and working environment for coal mine excavation operations and lay a foundation for quantifying safe behavior in heading face.
