| A commonly used material as stainless steel is, there are still some difficulties in the milling process due to its own characteristic. It is still the research direction of many academics that how to improve milling efficiency and tool life, and to reduce processing costs in the machining of stainless steel narrow groove.With the rapid development of space industry in recent years, great demand in the rocket components processing, including mass machining of narrow grooves in the rocket nozzle, asks for cost reduction as much as possible besides high milling efficiency in the previous processing, which brings higher requirements for parameter design of the milling cutter.Currently, end milling cutter and saw cutter are the main tools for the processing of stainless steel narrow groove, but considering the machining accuracy, processing efficiency and processing cost performance, the saw cutter owns superiority in mass machining. Therefore, the research on the saw cutter is of great significance to reduce the tool wear, shorten the processing time, improve machining precision, and reduce the resource waste. The research in this article is for the sake of the above purpose.Firstly, surface morphology of the workpiece and machining principle of saw cutter are studied, and a general law for parameter design of common milling cutter is found in theory, based on which,3D model of saw cutter is built according to the parameters of common milling cutter, providing precondition for the following finite element analysis of cutter's performance.For the milling condition of narrow grooves'mass machining is fixed, and the angle design of milling cutter has the greatest impact on the cutter's performance, by comparing the force conditions of different rake angles on the same stress condition, the optimal rake angle is found. And then on the basis of cutting characteristics of stainless steel, the optimal clearance angle is selected, the parameter design of saw cutter completed and physical model obtained.At last, the cutting performance of saw cutter is expounded and proved through experiments, the vibration law of saw cutter analyzed, and scientificalness and practical applicability of the cutter's parameters verified. |
