Graphite Oxide was prepared by modified Hummers, and then exfoliated into monodisperse Graphene Oxide (GO) sheets via sonication. With hydrazine hydrate, graphene was obtained from reduction of GO colloidal suspension in water. Through impovement of preparation proccess, it was less time-consuming and safer. GO sheets were 10 nm thick,500 nm wide and long. Graphene sheets were 2 nm thick, with length and width of 100-200 nm. Compared with that of GO, KH550 functionalized GO (KH550-g-GO) with larger interplanar distance, was well dispersed in formic acid, N,N-dimethylformamide and tetrahydrofuran. KH550-g-GO/PA6 composites were compounded with solution blend. Two crystal forms were observed in PA6, a and y respectively. With increasing content of KH550-g-GO, the crystallization temperature of nylon 6 increased, the crystallinity dereased first and then increased, while the glass transition temperature rised.
