High speed electric spindle is the key functional component of high speed process machine tool. In order to research the characteristic parameters of electric spindle, this subject developed a high speed machine center spindle unit Experimental Platform. To achieve some characteristic parameter tests of the spindle unit on the experimental platform, such as bearing temperature, vibration and rotary precision, which provide reliable data for the electric spindle unit's further studying.This paper puts forward a design scheme on electricity spindle experimental platform, which combine the structure of electric spindle and the test requirements of electric spindle's characteristic parameter. The sensor fixture to test bearing temperature and electric spindle's gyration accuracy is designed.High-speed electric spindle unit has the characteristics such as high speed and high precision. The performance of experimental platform has a direct impact on the test results of electric spindle's characteristic parameters. This paper obtained respectively the eddy current sensor fixed bracket, spindle box, electric spindle unit, assembly body's top four order natural frequency and vibration mode figure of the experiment platform by the modal analysis of the electric spindle experimental platform; got bearing temperature field distribution around the electric spindle unit under different rotate speeds temperature which is the ANSYS analysis to the bearing temperature.Based on the experimental platform do some test on high speed electric spindle, such as bearing temperature testing, electric spindle unit vibration and rotation accuracy testing, Experimental research data is concluded.Using two kinds of schemes to test electric spindle's gyration accuracy.By the contrast between theoretical and experimental data, The result is got that bearing temperature experimental value as the same as theoretical value.Spindle cell finite element analysis of experimental data platform and vibration test results and the precision rotating spindle units vibration test results are consistent with the maximum spindle speed,that the correctness of the research method is proved.According to theoretical analysis and experimental tests, Experimental platform is feasible and reasonable that is proved and the bearing temperature, vibration of spindle unit and the changes of rotational accuracy is obtained.
