PQT (full name is Polyquaternium-ten) is one of water-soluble positive ion polymers, which has good membranization and affinity due to its characteristic molecular structure. As demonstrated, PQT can protect and repair the injury of protein cuticles through reacting with anion active agents to obtain complexation structure. Up to date, the promising market of PQT is critically dependent upon its quality and cost. In the dissertation, the engineering design of PQT plant on the scale of 1000 t/a is specifically designed with the full considerations of material and energy balance, equipment select, flow chart design, equipments. The specialty of plant design is focused on selecting advanced DCS control system, carrying out fine processes control with quantity of feed and flux, speed of the drop, temperature, pressure, pH etc, assuring to produce good and steady product. The selected advanced T-reaction in equipments can solve the problem of dryness, the assistant systems were to solve the exhausted gas absorption, solvent and waster water recycle, and thus realizing the economic energy consumption and dececreasing emission. The aim of the plant design is to gurantee the product with high quality and competitivity.
