Yushulin was put into development in 1992. In 1998, argillaceous materials were first found in oil wells and the number increased year by year. The argillaceous materials, with the loose soil appearance, can block the standing valve of pump, causing pump leakage, reducing pump efficiency. In the serious condition, the standing valves were completely chocked up, which seriously affected the well production. Therefore, it is essential to run intensive study on the formation and influence factors of the argillaceous materials, which could provide the reliable theory to guide the research and development of effective prevention and cure technology.In this paper, several basic works have been finished as follows: the argillaceous materials production condition analysis of the oil wells; the reservoir clay composition analysis; the main components determination of argillaceous materials by means of XRD and chemical analysis; sensitivity experiment (speed, water, acid, etc.) of the natural core samples from argillaceous materials production area; the components analysis of exotic fluid (injection water, drilling fluid and fracture fluid) and the influence experiment of these fluids on the argillaceous materials production, which made definite the argillaceous materials formation mechanism; the rational work system development of oil wells; the determination of working fluid criterion; the popularization and application of long plunger mud-prevention pump and intelligent bailing pumping unit. These measurements provided good results.In this paper, the solution thought and effective prevention and cure methods to the argillaceous materials production in Daqing Yu shulin oilfield were clearly presented, which has a vital significant to the development of low permeability oilfield.
