High-Dangerous products (such as toxic chemicals, flammable and explosive materials) because of their special characters, always have relatively high accident rate in the production processes. If the accident happens, the consequences will be serious, it will cause serious threat to the safety of life and property. Emulsified explosives manufacturing industry, as a typical high-risk industry, has been to become the focus of attention. In this paper, the discussion focused on how to improve the safety of the emulsified explosive production process, and to minimize the accident rate.In the production process of emulsified explosives, the emulsion is a very important link, and its core component emulsifier is the most accident-prone equipment. In this paper, emulsifiers are targeted on researching how to improve their safety monitoring in the production process considerate the emulsified explosive production line in Qun-Wei Chemical Co., Ltd. Chongqing, designed a safety monitoring system aim at the emulsifier base on the emulsifier operating characters.In the development process of the monitoring system, we introduced the peakvue analysis and the gray model (GM) prognosis technology. The system can predict the trend of every parameter and accurately hold the fault development of the emulsifier by using the historical data, so the system can take correspondingly steps timely to prevent accidents. The system is functional, it can provide real-time monitoring, fault prognosis, exception alerts for the emulsifier production process, the system can also provide the appropriate historical parameters and indicators for inquiry, so the staffs can make a comprehensive and detailed understanding of the operational status of emulsifier, and accordingly increase the safety of emulsified explosives production process.The emulsifier safety monitoring system developed in this article is work well through installing and running in the field, and is of great practical significance. The system introduced several new techniques and could bring new ideas for the future work.
