Large-scale welding workshop will often work with a lot of welding machines, as many as dozens of welding machines or even hundreds of welding machines working at the same production line, it may cause an imbalance of voltage in supply network while so many welding machines starting at the same time which may damage the power supply transformer or influence the voltage of welding machines. The interference between welding machines, current dividing and some other reasons will affect the welding current and the quality of welding. A welding machine group control system is working for solving these problems. The system communicates with welding machines by CAN bus. It can get the real-time data from welding machines. To achieve management purposes, while welding machines send a working request the system analyses various parameters on welding machines by the control algorithm and then decides whether to work.According to the aim of welding machine group controlling, the design scheme includes that choosing MCU as the core of the control system, touch screen as human-machine interface, filedbus technology as the communication. Selecting STC89C516rd + and PIC16F877 as the control device and selecting CAN bus as the communication mode. The hardware designe scheme also including selecting the other devices in the system, and finishes designing of the peripheral circuit of MCU, serial communication circuit, extended RAM and FLASH circuit, CAN communication circuit. Programming to touch screen by using the EasyBuilder8000 graphical software in the design. The worker can check various parameters on the welding machines and control the work of the welding machine by the interface. The software of the system is compartmentalized into several modules of function and writed in MCU by using C. One of the two MCUs in the main controlling circuit is responsible for communication with the touch screen, the other one is responsible for communication with the communication circuit. And the two MCUs sharing data by communicating with the dual-port static ram. The MCU in the communication circuit is responsible for communication with the MCU in the main contolling circuit and the CAN bus to transport data and commands.This paper puts forward the fuzzy synthetic evaluation algorithm which is an improved algorithm. The specific algorithm selects decision factors from multiple angles to response the power-on request of welding machines. By control the number of welding machine the system can keep the voltage and current stable and it can achieve the purpose of comprehensive management of the welding process.
