As one pillar of the national economy, automobile manufacturing is a symbol of national manufacturing level and scientific and technological innovation ability. Stamping workshop has been particularly concerned in automobile manufacturing industry because of its complex process and variety parts. In such a complex production environment, reasonable plan and effective scheduling play a great role in reducing production cost and improving enterprise's benefit. So the study of optimization scheduling methods has become a research hotspot.On the base of field research and study in the similar documents at home and abroad, scheduling algorithm and scheduling system used in stamping workshop have been researched with the background of automobile manufacturing stamping workshop.At first, this paper analyze the product system and characteristics of stamping workshop on the base of the four major processes workshop's associated plan. Through the analysis of the characteristics of production, this paper improve the similar studies and established a new mathematical model. This model include some elements such as the time of switching mould and transport time, which make it has more practical value.Second, according to the production model, an algorithm is designed to solve the problem of job scheduling. This algorithm improve the classical genetic algorithm. For example, this algorithm design a new variation method which achieve variation through implanting excellent genes, and embedded a heuristic rule in GA to optimized selection of punches. Comparison of the results of simulation experiment, the algorithm has been proved can produce better solution and has more efficiency. Finally, on the base of solving the problem of job scheduling, scheduling system has been successfully developed, which has been used in AnHui JiangHuai Automotive Co., Ltd. This system have four major functions, including workshop management, scheduling management, inventory management and production statement management. The system can partly replace the original manual mode and significantly improve the product productivity.
