In recent years, with a sharp rise in oil prices and strict increasingly car exhaust emission regulations, reducing vehicle mass becomes one of the effective ways for automobile enterprises to realize to reduce the consumption of fuel in meeting safety premise. In order to lighten weight of the body, high-strength steel plate with its high strength and lower production cost than aluminum alloy plate, gradually becomes traditional low-strength steel plate substitute. However, high-strength steel has low plasticity and bad formability, stamping parts easy appear face distortion, warping and greater rebound quantity etc. Therefore, formability and defect control of the high-strength steel plate become one of the hot topics in the car industry and academia.The paper refers to a great number of domestic and overseas literature materials, introduces high-strength steel and its forming numerical simulation, research situation on springback prediction and controlling method. then, With finite element simulation technology and orthogonal experiment, taking the U-bending standard questions in NUMISHEET'93 for example, analysis the of springback simulation accuracy, gets primary sequence and their reasonable value of springback prediction influence factors. On this basis, the paper makes forming simulation and successful prediction and compensation of springback quantity to the duplex steel cross member in NUMISHEET'2005.
