Stamping of the complex shape with tailor-welded blanks as base metal is widelyused recently. According to the complex problems emerging on practical application ofstamping of complex shape, the front floor passage of a car is taken as the target parts, andstamping forming and springback of target parts is simulated in Dynaform. The parametersare optimized to improve the forming shape quality, reduce the springback distance, andimprove the forming quality. Finally the technical solution suitable for the actualproduction is obtained.Tailor-Welded Blanks has good prospects in automotive parts production, but thereare great differences between tailor-welded blanks and single material slab in the formingprocess. Since the process of weld-line in the stamping simulation is significant, it isnecessary to consider the material properties of the weld, and the influence of the formingquality coursed by weld-line movement. Taken tailor-welded blanks for the channel as thesubject, experiment and simulation for weld model are analyzed, and the weld-linemovement control strategy is studied based on the numerical simulation in this article.Stamping simulation and experiments of the channel are carried out based on the aboveconclusions and the impact factors on forming and controlling in production are summedup. Main parameters are optimized to get parameter combinations that can meet theforming requirements, and then stamping test is carried out to prove that parameters innumerical simulation can effectively be applied to forming production.Springback of the forming parts is simulated, and forming springback is controlled tothe extent permitted by process control and mold die face compensation. Punching testusing the modified forming technique is carried out to get a qualified stamping.
