In the performance history of unconsolidated sand oil reservoir, sanding is a particularly important issue. When using sand control measure, the problem of sand production is resolved by completely blocking the sand, but increase the cost and greatly reduce oil well productivity. When failure to take sand control measure, an oil well productivity significantly is improved, but the sand product seriously which cause problems for oil production. Therefore we propose the sand management, controling the sand production at the same time considering the productivity of oil wells. The factors of affecting sand management in unconsolidated sand are including completion methods, width of screen guage and appropriate drawdown. When determined completion method and width of screen guage, in the well production process, weather sand production and the amount of that is mainly decided by well flow index and drawdown. In this paper, using sand prediction model based on fluid-solid coupled theory, and the Comsol Multiphysies that coupled multi-physics analysis software, simulate sand production in Bohai sea area. Analysis of sand production affectted by the reservoir structure, crustal stress level and drawdown. According to the geological parameters of Bohai Sea area, determine a reasonable drawdown to provide the basis for the oil well production. Analysis of the sand control effects of several different completion methods.
