Laser sealing technology is to beam to the surface of the weldments with the laser, make it meit with heating components or solder, so as to realize the technology of welding parts welded together. Laser sealing technology has the advantages of high energy, non-contact, high precision of welding, etc. It can be welded for any size and any local artifacts. These advantages make the field of laser welding technology application is more and more widely, especially in the field of processing and manufacturing. The traditional welding technology cannot meet the manufacturing requirement of the high quality products. Laser welding technology can meet the requirements of processing of high precision and high welding quality, already has a tendency to replace the traditional welding technology. The middle of the vacuum plate glass is a vacuum, around the seal. It has the advantages of heat preservation and heat insulation, sound insulation noise reduction. It has been used in the fields such as architecture, vegetable greenhouses. In today’s society advocating environmental protection and energy saving, vacuum plate glass is a kind of glass processing products which is Energy efficient and environmentally friendly, the birth of it is in line with the theme of The Times. At present, laser seal technology has been applied in the sealing side forming for vacuum plate glass, the application prospect of it is very wide, but how to improve the quality of vacuum plate glass sealing sides always the key point of the research and the difficulties of the study.Related technology of vacuum plate glass laser sealing problem needs further research. This article is based on this background to research the process of laser seal vacuum plate glass. The first step is to research the mechanism of interact with glass and laser. Optical properties and thermal properties of glass are studied, analysis the process of interaction with the glass and the laser, and the reasons of the phenomenon of thermal expansion. Then study the principle of laser transmission welding of vacuum plate glass and joint sealing process, finally study the principle of solder coated glass. This part of the theoretical research lays an important foundation to the following experimental analysis.Under the condition of existing laser equipment and experiment, in order to facilitate analysis and research, don’t study from coke deposition effects on laser seal. In the process study of vacuum flat glass sealing solder in the laser cladding. Using single factor analysis method to research the influence of the quality of the solder coated glass with the laser power and welding speed. Fixed from coke h=-2 mm, welding speed v=2 mm/s, laser power P take five values. Research the influence law of sealing layer hardness in laser power to solder, the influence of the surface topography of sealing layer and the effect on the performance of the combination of solder and glass attaches, get the optimal laser power P=80 w. Use the same method to determine the optimal welding speed v=2 mm/s. Finally get the optimal process parameters of laser seal, vacuum plate glass P=80 w, v=2 mm/s, h=-2 mm.Under the optimal process parameters, laser seal vacuum plate glass,in the analysis of the sealing performance, using a universal testing machine to determination of the shear stress with vacuum plate glass. Tests found sealing side has good sealing strength. Using microscope to sealing layer microstructure analysis, found no obvious defects of the microstructure. The compact structure of organization has good mechanical properties. Using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) to observation and analysis the cross section morphology of the glass attaches, found no gap junction. They are closely related. Using the spectrometer to spectral analysis solder and glass, and the junction of glass and solder appear a large number of element migration phenomenon, enter the other material inside, combined with reliable performance. Through the above performance analysis, under the optimal process parameters, the quality of the sealing side of vacuum plate glasses good.
