This paper researching the current domestic and international development status of metal scrap briquetting, combined with reliability engineering application in the hydraulic system, getting the control requirements of briquetting machine and analysis of the structure, analyzing the working principle and hydraulic control principle, so the task of control system has been clear. Metal scrap briquetting press for the current control system design flaws and metal shavings to suppress the process of high energy consumption, briquette density uneven, briquette size sizes, poor reliability, failure phenomena, metal scrap briquetting machine control system has been designed and researched.In this paper, metal scrap briquetting process steps starting point for analysis, control system function decomposition, briquetting machine processing of information collection and analysis, electro-hydraulic proportional control technology, have been researched, and chooses a suitable control scheme to design a briquetting machine control system architecture. Comprehensive use of intelligent design, energy-saving design, reliability design, modern design methods, comparative analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of each program, so the system design is determined.Combination of embedded control, real-time implementation of the briquetting machine monitoring and control of metal scrap briquetting press feeding equipment, displacement feedback, oil temperature real-time monitoring technology have been researched and developed, and the quality of the buckle to enhance system automation to reduce the failure rate and cost requirements have been improved also. Digital isolation, optical isolation, power isolation design which are commonly used in PLC reliability measures and technologies, have been adapted and developed a metal briquetting machine industrial control application-specific embedded control system for high reliability.In this paper the following work have been fulfiled about the briquetting machine: 1. Describes the basic characteristics of briquette machine, domestic and foreign developments and future trends, and gives the research background of the subject line of this study.2. Introduces the Y83 series metal scrap briquetting machine about the working principle and working process.3. In order to improve the quality of briquette forming, feeding on the briquetting machine process control, through metal shavings weight information collection channel which is composed by the "S" type load cell sensor, TLC1549 Serial ADCmanufactured by TI in US and the digital isolator, the embedded processor can judge the amount of feed, process, and control the feeding mechanism movements.4. By understanding the advantages and disadvantages of hydraulic system and hydraulic system components on the analysis, the servo control system is selected. By using the position sensors, controllers and servo valve, a closed loop control system for position servo control has been formed.5. As the briquette machine oil temperature normally should not be very high, uses a digital temperature sensor DS18B20, prevents the oil temperature too high which can cause accelerated aging of sealed and cause oil leakage phenomenon of the system.6. Output of metal buckle automatic transmission and statistical terms. A working cycle of the output of the number of metal blocks to statistics, the design of the piece of metal photoelectric detection circuit to detect transmission schedule and control the material level.
