The prestressed reticulated shell is a kind of novel space structure in which the prestress cable is introduced into common reticulated shell. Compared to the common reticulated shell, the performance of the structure is improved a lot. The structure has not only a stronger ability to cover more space than the general reticulated shell to satisfied human's satisfied, but also to save more steel in the same design condition. Prestressed reticulated shell has a good prospect; therefore it is of great significance to conduct an in-depth study on it.In this paper, on the basis of wide-range reading of relevant home and abroad literatures about prestressed reticulated shell, the development history, researching present status and the application about engineering experience of the reticulated shell are looked back and summarized in this paper. The prestressed hyperbolic parabolic reticulated shell of China University of Petroleum was taken as a case studied and the structural performance of long-span prestressed reticulated shell was studied.The static characters of this prestressed reticulated shell are analyzed by ANSYS in this paper, in order to grasp the situation of structural internal force and displacement, which are and compared with the corresponding single-layer reticulated shell. On the basis of analysis of static performance, buckling analysis and modal frequency analysis of this prestressed reticulated shell are also analyzed by ANSYS to study the influence of the prestress on the stability and auto oscillation of this structure. Combined the practical engineering of the prestressed hyperbolic parabolic reticulated shell in China University of Petroleum, uninstall monitored is completed and the results are compared with the theoretical analysis results.In the end, by summarizing the research work of this paper, some conclusions are obtained. Static performance and stability performance of prestressed hyperbolic parabolic reticulated shell has been greatly improved in contrast with single-layer reticulated shell.
