Comparative Study Of Space Form Of Shangqiu And Pingyao Ancient Cities

This thesis chooses which are callde Shangqiu and Pingyao ancient city in the Yellow River Basin as the studies, cards the history,natural conditions,morphology and local culture of two ancient cities, investigates the natural and human environment in which the two ancient cities had generade and evolved, then takes the external spatial pattern and internal space form as the points, Separately, compares and analyzes the macro-level which constitutes by the spatial pattern,plane shape,defense system and Micro-level which constitutes by the internal road structure,institution building layout. Residential patterns.Thus it can be claimed that spatial form of two type of ancient cities are adapted to social environments that contain the natural environment,the socio-economic environment,the social and institutional environment.Some valuable theoretical basises are offered for contemporary development and construction of the ancient cities.
