The machining of aerospace parts plays an important role in the whole field of space technology. In aerospace enterprises, operators often choose processing parameter based on their experience for product manufacturing. This often leads to non-standard processing parameters. The tradition process parameter is not suitable for the composite and some other advanced materials. So, this paper develops a process database for aerospace parts based on network technology and database technology. The accumulation of processing parameters for various parts in aerospace industry and parameter data obtained through experiment will be managed by database. It will make process information resources could be shared within the profession scope and promoted the progress of aerospace manufacturing technologies in our country.Under the guidance of the above ideas, based on the research of the characteristics of processing data in aerospace manufacturing companies, database system structure and function was analyzed. The study on the process of a typical kind of aerospace composite components was carried out in this paper.(1) The system requirements are analyzed based on the characteristics of process in aerospace enterprises. During the development of database system, modularization development is adopted. At first, the system is divided into basic modules, and data analysis, modeling, and development are carried out for independent module. After design of each sub-module, the relationships of data model between each module are analyzed. To ensure the correct of the relationships of data model through control layer, complete system integration, satisfy application requirements of system.(2) This database system chooses B/S structure as the structure. The building of system is completed through Struts structure. The scalability and maintainability of system are improved. Through comparing the performance characteristics of database management system, Oracle is selected for the development of process database. The Security of data can be guaranteed well. Besides, the storage performance of large object data is improved and the kinds of graphics, documents and other data types are easy to realize.(3) In this paper, a kind of carbon fiber composite components is selected as the processing object. The appropriate process of typical component is determined. The NC processing of the components is completed through UG and VERICUT. The cutter data, process parameter and data of processing quality are recorded during the process of typical component. The process for the typical component has been included into the database system. These data will provide practical experience and process reference for CNC machining technology of Carbon fiber composite components.(4) This process database includes cutter database, process data library, etc. By extending the process database for typical materials and components, it can provide digital processing with technology support for aerospace enterprises.
