At present, Chinese high-speed train is rapidly developing, and playing more and more important role in transportation industry. As a key component, the properties of high-speed train transmission gearbox directly impact on the running safety and dynamic property. So the property testing before shipment for gearbox is very important. To meet the testing requirements, this paper contributes to develop a set of properties testing system for high-speed train gearbox.The properties of gearbox are reflected by the testing parameters indirectly, such as vibration, noise and so on. In this paper, the structure of gearbox, characteristic frequency's calculation on key part, gear and bearing vibration characteristics and its analysis method, gearbox noise characteristics and analysis method were investigated, providing the reliable theoretical support.Common DC Bus model is applied on the property testing test-bed for gearbox, the electricity generated from loading motor feeding back to Common DC Bus that rises energy utilization. According to testing requirement, the contents of running attrition test, oil-level test, no-load test, rated-speed loading test,,maximum rotational speed loading test, fatigue loading test and over loading test are designed. Furthermore, testing schemes for temperature, variation and noise are designed. The main works in the experiment are as follow, testing temperature, sound power level of gearbox, box vibration, shaft vibration, and drawing temperature-rising curves, Bode diagram to identify critical speed of gearbox, torque-power efficiency curves time-frequency domain of gear box to find the amplitude of characteristic frequency.The property testing system is constituted by measurement and control sub-system and remote monitoring sub-system. The measurement and control sub-system contains user login and management module, test selection module, PLC control module, facilities communication module, data acquisition module, database module and test result module. The remote monitoring sub-system contains system setting module, real-time monitoring module and historical data inquiry module. The measurement and control sub-system is developed based on LabVIEW platform to realize massive data collection, processing and analysis.The remote monitoring subsystem is developed based on B/S network structure. Connecting to the server through internet, the client terminal realizes remote monitoring. Oracle database is used to manage test information and data in the system, including gearbox parameter, user information, testing operating curves, testing standard and test results.The man-machine interface of the system is good. The operation of system is simple and standard. The test content can be completed well. Test data is stable and reliable, which provide good data support for further standard establish. Through test, the system can well meet the high-speed transmission gearbox testing requirement.
