With the increasing problems of traffic congestion and environmental pollution, city tram is coming into people’s sight gradually. As a green traffic tool, city tram surpass ordinary buses in many fields, such as speed, passenger capacity, environmental protection, energy saving, comfort and etc. And compared with other urban rail transit, constructing city tram takes low costs and needs short period of time. Hence it is a better choice to solve the traffic problems of small or medium-sized city.As the key system of city tram, operation control system is responsible for the safety, reliable operation and operational scheduling for all entire city tram. Currently, the research on the operation control system city tram has not reached the mature stage. Therefore, deep research on operation control system of city tram is an urgent issue to be solved.Aimed at the cross which between the city tram running road network and highway traffic, and the backwardness of train operation regulation method of city tram at present, in order to improve the operating efficiency of the entire road network. so the thesis researches on automatic train operation regulation of city tram is studied. the city tram crossing priority is designed and priority allocation strategy is formulated, traffic light intersection signal timing is optimized and software design of the centralized control subsystem about city tram is completed.Firstly, according to city streetcars running business processes, analyzing functional requirements about the centralized control subsystem of city tram. On this basis, designing the operation control system overall architecture and the centralized control subsystem architecture of city tram is designed.Secondly, analyzing train operation regulation features of city tram, introducing "virtual platform" concept and automatic train operation regulation model of city tram is established, which is solved by immune particle swarm optimization(IM-PSO). The process that IM-PSO is used to solve automatic train operation regulation of city tram model is elaborated in detail combined with the test data from Haizhu District of Guangzhou island, the simulation of the instance is completed.Furthermore, the control principle of trunk coordination based on city tram priority is analyzed, and the design of allocation strategy of city tram crossing priority is completed. On this basis, with the introduction of double-planning theory, the model of double-planning signal timing optimization is established, the model is solved by particle swarm algorithm. Using Vissim simulation software to evaluate the result, compared with the result of traditional signal timing optimization. The comparison shows that trunk coordinate and control system can be a great solution for conflicts between the city trams and other social vehicle at the intersection, what’s more, it can reduce delay per person and increase overall transportation efficiency.Finally, the design of centralized control subsystem of city tram software is completed, and using Visual C ++ 6.0 and Access database programming environment to simulate the main function modules.The simulation results show that the research on centralized control subsystem can meet city tram runing business needs.
