After a systematic anslysis of the state-of-the-art of research on innovative seheme designs, some crucial issues for computer-aided innovative seheme designs of technical artifacts are discussioned in this paper. This paper aims at achieving innovative seheme designs generated automatieally, a deep research was made in kinematic chains mathematical characteristic unique representation , isomorphism identification, similarty identification of links, the theory of innovative seheme designs and innovative seheme designs generated automatieally. The primary contributions are as follows.On the basis of structural composition of planar kinematic chains and breadth first search theory of graph, a method to unique description mathematical characteristic of kinematic chains is presented for innovation creative design program. It's essence as each components of kinematic chain be renumbered according to the rules base on the degrees of links,the numbers of kinematic pairs and connective relation of links in the the kinematic chains. then the similarity of links are identified according to the empowering broadness-first spanning tree, last the similarity links were renumbered based on id rules. Based on the unique digital characteristic representation,a method for isomorphism Indentification of kinematic chains is presented, alse the relevant theorem is given. Examples are given to demontrate the reliablity and robistness of the approach.The reasonable improvement was made for symbol design rules referring the creative strategy of Innovative design regeneration method. The design requirements were firstly symbolized by rules,and then the funetion symbols were used to deseribe the funetion links so that the innovated seheme can be expressed by symbol.so the computer could make logic reasoning from the design rules.Moreover,the relevancy code method to achieving Logical Reasoning was presented.Using visual basic 6.0 as developmeng tool,a system for character design automation innovation is developed based on these research results, then,the functional modules and programming techniques of system is detailed elaborate,by means of which the design of theshedding mechanism of simple loom is successfully accomplished.The case study indicates that the proposed methods are feasible and effective. Which provided a good platform for the mechanism selection and system simulation. Loader six-bar attachments configuration diagrams were given based on the rules design of innovation theory,the performance and pump power characteristics of a new configuration seheme were analyzed. Which has some reference value to design and selection loader six-bar attachments.
