Hefei City Planning And Design Of Urban Expressway

In order to alleviate the ever-increasing strain on city transportation,to guarantee the smooth traffic in the metropolis'downtown and the efficient separation of the mid fond distance transportation and the short distance one, as well as, to naturally connect the city's inner roads and the transitting expressway, many a city in China has initiated the planning and construction of city expreeway, whose key issues are how to determine the city expressway's scale, how to layout the road network, which mode to be chosen, how to plan and design its ling node , etc.This thesis states the orign of city expreeway firstly and reviews all around its development in the western countries'cities and in Chinese cities. Aiming at the present metropolis integrated traffic planning and expressway construction, analysis the expressway's function and charactersitics, states its functions in the city roads network system,the necessities of its construction and its socio-economic performance.Next, its function in the city roads network system is analyzed and its traffic charactersitics and its construction condition are researched. Then city expessways are categorized according to their structural patterns and each pattern's application scope and specific advantages and disadvantages are pointed out. The city expressway's lane number and lane width are studied from the perspective of traffic safety and traffic capacity. In order to improve the utilization efficiency of the city expressway, the tridimensional traffic that the horizontal expessway, the overhead one and the underground trafic are bound together is analyzed.Finally,based on the research on Ma On Shan Road, a key part in Hefei's skeleton road system, this paper has analyzed its allocation plan and traffic design,so as to provide the city expressway's planning and designing with theoretical support to ensure the perfect functioing of the city expressway.
