With the explosive development of software and Internet technology in recent years, the theory of User Experience, User-centered Design and Usability have attracted more and more attention. Especially during the last decade, Interaction design has grown rapidly and been recognized by large domestic enterprises and companies, gradually becoming an independent subject with its own series of theories.After analyzing the time background and the development of the theories, the paper, which is based on the interactive design theory, Goal-Directed Design, compares the theories of UE, UCD, Usability and User Research and tries to tell their relations. In addition, it focuses on the powerful concept of persona, the key design tool in Goal-Directed Design.Persona is an effective visualization tool, who can directly and efficiently transmit the information gotten in research period to the designer. As it is the first step in the creation of persona is to discuss user research, the paper discusses how to effectively use these research findings to create persona after telling and analyzing a variety of ways and theoretical tools in research period, and it also focuses on the process of qualitative persona's creation and application in following design.In the design practice, the paper adopts design practice, the case of the conceptual design of mobile browser, to illustrate the creation of persona and interaction and application with other user research method. First, using the methods of user interview, questionnaire survey, and focus group, the subjective and objective needs of users are collected. In analyzing and deciding the user segments, it divides user's goals and behaviors (on the interactive level), forming the four final personas. Furthermore, it determines and creates the primary and secondary persona, and creates the scenarios according to the requirements of two key personas, and tapes the potential users' demands as applying the persona in the scenarios. Finally, the conceptual design is formed through referring to other aspects, such as product analysis, information framework in card sorting, and other key information revealed in focus groups. Persona and Scenarios includes abundant information, which can be used in the many later processes. This paper just revolves around product requirements and then gives the definition of the product functions. However, all of these functions are just in a conceptual level and they should be modified and perfected during the later iterative process (such as modification through model testing after model design).
