Based on the ADAMS, this paper establishes the front suspension and the vehicle model, optimizes the structure of front suspension, and studies the vehicle handling stability to the vehicle models.Firstly, according to a practical structure of the front suspension subcompact, a double wishbone suspension model is built in ADAMS, and the curve of the original car wheel positioning parameters with wheels beating is measured, and the deficiencies of the car in structure are analyzed. After that, using ADAMS to improve the structure parameters of the suspension, the structure of optimized model is more superior to before. Windows of user was built based on ADAMS/View, with which the parameters of Suspension can be changed easily.Sencondly, the vehicle model is simplified reasonably. Based on the optimized front suspension, the whole vehicle model is built that consists of tires and ground, and the stability of the model simulation experiment is carried on, and the main factors of influence to the manipulation stability are discussed. This paper is mainly virtual modeling in automobile suspension, optimization in structure and simulation analysis, preliminarily accomplishes the prototype model built on computer, the model performance analysis, improves design scheme, using digital form instead of traditional physical prototype experiment. During the design and development process about mechanical product, greatly shortening the development cycle, reducing the product cost, improving the product performance and obtaining the optimal design products, all have important practical significance.
