Based On The Sustainable Development Of Slow Design Study About Household Appliances

With the development of global economy quickly,ecosystems have exposed a set of environmental problems which have stunted human development. Then Sustainable development concept emerged, it is based on environmental matters of global development strategy ,is the development trend of the world. But,product design have problems in this trend,and it is imminent.Design is intended to improve the quality of human life. But, since the industrial revolution, designs do more work on styles of innovation and are business weapon to stimulate consumption. It accelerates the speed of product life cycle and product and advance the consumerism wave. The ultimate result is geared up production and waste of resources in. The problems of product design obstacle the sustainable development. Product design needs to find new methods for new challenge. Slow design emerged as a method. Slow design recognized the weakness of modern design,call for reform design thinking. Slow design against"people—centered"of design thinking, encourage designers found design thinking and methods which meet people, environment and social common cultural interests. The essence of slow design is that down to people's consumption rate, rate of resources wastage and environmental pollution speed. For human society ,product design create a sustainable future.The thesis through anglicizing the sustainable development on theory and example, and the environment problems,triggering design to be rethink. As the example of household appliances,analysis theirs unsustainable points in the consumer city and modern design mode, and the role and limitations of green consumption and green design for sustainable development. Slow design as a response of unsustainable development method appears,through anglicizing the theory,thought and cases to inspire a new design thinking of household appliances. In respect of slow design spirit and goal, reducing the household consumption, resource cost and environment pollution speed by design. At last,product design promote sustainable development.
