Sine-pump is a new type of displacement pumps. The rotor is one of Sine-pump's core components and it owns a design of sine-wave shape, which prevents the fluid from being sheared while it is delivered in Sine-pump. The flow pulsation of Sine-pump is almost zero. Sine-pump is widely used in food industry, beverage industry, cosmetics industry and chemical industry, etc. The customers benefit from Sine-pump's good performance. However, the data on Sine-pump is limited at home and abroad, not to mention its research methods. According to this problem, the basic research on Sine-pump's structure was discussed in this paper, hoping to provide some methods and ideas for its design. The operating principle, technical features, as well as the application and research status of Sine-pump was introduced in this paper. The structure of sine-pump's rotor was studied in this paper, the mathematical model of the rotor's surface was established and its basic properties were obtained in this paper. The formulas of Sine-pump's instantaneous flow and displacement were deduced, the efficiency of Sine-pump was qualitative analysed. The largest size of spherical material that the Sine-pump can accommodate was discussed. The optimization design on rotor and scraper was made, meanwhile Sine-pump's other main parts such as scraper-guide, liner, pump-housing and shaft were also designed. After simple theoretical analysis on fluid's motion in Sine-pump, the fluid field of Sine-pump was simply simulated in FLUENT simulation software. The distribution of pressure field, speed field and turbulence intensity was obtained. It provided a theory basis for further optimization design of the rotor.
