With the improvement of automation in modern industrial production and the expansion of production scale, servo control system with higher standard performance requirements is badly needed. To meet this demand, servo system is developed to be digital, intelligent, and network rapidly. At the same time, digital signal processing technology makes it be possible for the realization of full digital control. The adoption of Digital Signal Processor (DSP) in servo control system not only improves the overall performance of motor control, but also makes various intelligent control strategies easily be implemented.The rapidity, synchronization and openness of linear servo system were studied based on digitalization in this thesis. On the basis of in-depth analysis of permanent magnet synchronous linear motor with principle of direct thrust control combining with optimal control theory, linear servo system with time optimal control is applied to feeding process. Linear servo system using time optimal control shows with shorter execution time in the same stroke, which improves the efficiency of linear servo system greatly.CNC machining centers with high efficiency always require the synchronous movement between motors. This thesis presents an improved coupling synchronization control strategy of motors with fuzzy controller based on conventional synchronization control strategy of motors. Simulation and analysis of this method were carried out using Matlab/Simulink software with results of good accuracy of synchronization and stable operation performance. Moreover a new strategy for multi-motor synchronous control by establishing switching voltage vector regulation is proposed. To enhance the openness of servo system's hardware, digital control system of permanent magnet synchronous linear motor was built with the core of DSP TMS320LF2407 from TI. Linear displacement detection circuit and CAN driver and some other circuits were also designed. Control system was built based on CAN bus technology and CAN communication protocol was also designed. Control program was developed using VB6.0 in order to realize the communication between host computer and subordinate computer, an integrated digital control system was made up consequently.
