Transformer is critical equipments in power system. Its stable operation will be related to reliable,continuous work of entire power system. Through the online monitoring of transformer,transformer faults can be found in time. And thus develop the transformer maintenance program,to ensure the security of power systems. This article analyze the transformer winding short-circuit fault detail,and the physical phenomenon when the fault occurs. Propose winding short-circuit fault diagnosis method that based on loss ratios of negative sequence. Given the threshold,which is used to determine transformer winding short-circuit fault.Based on the above theory,we realize online fault diagnosis system based on FPGA,and embed a dual-core processor based on Nios II on the chip of EP3C16F484C6. Solve contradictions between the high-speed data processing and low-speed peripherals. In one of the dual-core,transplantμC/OS-II real time operating system,is responsible for the whole system control and scheduling,and the data transfer between FPGA and peripheral devices,and achieve the management of multiple tasks. Using high-speed acquisited voltage and current instantaneous value,the other core calculate voltage and current RMS, active power, and other major electrical parameters. Measurement accuracy is 0.05%.And based on the theories of loss ratios of negative sequence,implemented analysis and fault diagnosis.Finally,this article introduce that test of main modules of the design of the system, and fault diagnostics and the test results is analyzed.
