With the development of modern engine speed and power unceasing enhancement, engine heat load increasingly high, cooling system put forward higher request. Cooling system's function is to make sure that the engine in any load condition and working environment can in the most suitable temperature condition normal and working reliably. It is an important part of the engine, not only of the engine reliability will produce significant influences, but also influence engine performance and fuel economy of important factor. Enhance cooling efficiency, reduce the energy consumption and is the engine cooling system of the future development direction. In order to meet the vehicle's engine cooling system cooling needs, to meet a variety of environments, a variety of vehicle operating conditions the heat balance requirements and overall system integration must be from the perspective of the vehicle cooling system cooling capacity assessment, and matching the vehicle cooling system to study and optimize the design. This article based on a certain subcompact, respectively for its indoor vehicle thermal equilibrium experiment and outdoor vehicle thermal equilibrium experiment, through experiment we can obtain coolant temperature variation in different working conditions, thus provides the technical support for cooling system matching and the optimized. Through the comparison and analysis of the indoor and outdoor vehicle thermal equilibrium experiments to verify low utilization of head wind impact on the thermal performance. Thus for subsequent in how to improve the utilization efficiency of research on head-on wind provide theoretical basis. This article also highlights the development of vehicle thermal balance test system, include selection and installation of sensors and design of data acquisition system. Engine coolant and engine oil temperature was measured to determine the condition of the coolant in the engine coolant temperature is within the scope of the requirements, and the temperature rise curve, cooling temperature constant and the allowable ambient temperature. Calculate the actual coolant flow and the theory needs to match the flow of the coolant compared to explore the reduction of water resistance and water pumps from the calculation of the angle to match the car's cooling capacity to improve. Through the relevant data, fitting out of the radiator water resistance performance curve. The research results provides an effective verification method for the cooling system design, and it's has an important significance for how to design and develop this cooling system and the optimization of cooling system, as well as lay a foundation development of energy-efficient cars with excellent performance.
