Flight Simulator is a simulation equipment of the aircraft on the ground, is a typical loop with some hardware simulation system. With the rapid development of computer simulation technology, the level of flight simulator is becoming more. It plays an important role in the teaching and training of pilots. To a certain type of primary trainer aircraft flight simulator as the background, this paper focuses on the key technologies of the visual simulation and cockpit simulation.The realization of visual simulation is importing the 3D models, topographical features elements of vector mapping, remote sensing imagery and terrain elevation data into CTS software, and thus generates a large area of surface with cultural identity. Driver software using Vega Prime manages and schedules the terrain by LADBM , Using VC + +6.0 calls the API of Vega Prime to drive the scene. Using image correction and fusion technology achieves the simulation of three-channel column screen.The simulation of cockpit of primary trainer aircraft flight simulator is primarily composed by analog instrumentation, virtual instruments, rod simulator systems, and the cockpit buffeting system. Using instrument simulation technology based on CAN-bus, virtual instrument technology based on OpenGL and torque motor controlling rod force techniques achieve the right analog cockpit control.The successful development of a certain type of primary trainer aircraft flight simulator eases the contradictions between the training and the shortage of simulation training equipment, and will help to ensure flight safety and improve the quality of teaching and training with a high military and economic benefits.
