| The building of university towns spreads in full swing in the whole country, and every city sees the planning of building university town, and even a city plans to build more than one university town. It develops so fast that the construction of large-scale commercial building of university town becomes a hot spot issue of study, because the construction of it is an essential part of logistics outsourcing. The large-scale commercial building of university town is different from the general ones. Where are the differences? What spatial form of the large-scale commercial building of university town should have? How much meaning do the architects, builders and users confer upon the architectural space? And as an existence, what physical and social characters does architectural space have? The paper makes an analysis to the phenomenon of "mechanical copy" in the commercial building of university town, whose design involves little the relationship wtih the construction of college culture, fails to keep to the student-oriented fact and follow the development law of education. The paper achieves some research results in the aspects of large-scale commercial building of university town, such as the compound mode of architectural space, design method of space and interior space, which can be taken as a useful reference for the design of large-scale commercial building of university town.
