Insulin pump is a high-tech subminiature electronic product for diabetes therapy. Infusion in patients with the keyboard set up parameters, Control unit through the detection of each module control the DC motor driven screw rotation to promote the syringe piston, and the insulin infusion through the hose to the patient. This paper analyzes the research situation and future development of the insulin pump home and abroad, full considering insulin pump's function, based on the plan and theory of reliability analysis, this paper present a series of indexes about reliability of insulin pump. Applying the theory of reliability and modeling, the reliability model of insulin pump is constructed and the reliability prediction of the hardware circuits have achieved too. The table about the insulin pump is built with the method of FMECA.And combining the method of FTA does qualitative and quantitative analysis to the whole insulin pump system, its subsystems and its parts. This integrated method combines the FMECA and FTA organically, and could make each advantages exert fully. The basic faults of the system and the cause productive of them can he ascertained with the help of the table.Which saves much time and raises working efficiency. The table also supplies failure rate and failure mode to FTA qualitative and quantitative analysis;FTA model Can reinforce FMECA, because it considers the factors of environment and human being. In this paper, Monte Carlo fault tree reliability simulation method is used in insulin pump system reliability simulation. With the aid of Matlab software,I adopt two different simulation methods and analyze the results. At last I get some indexes, for example.insulin pump system reliability curves and MTBF and so on.
