As an emerging technology, reliability engineering has been widely used in manufacturing enterprises. As a high-tech company, Nanjing Kangni New Technology of Mechantronic Co. Ltd has been contributing much to the widly developing of our railway transportation. The reliability of its products is closely linked to the national economy, the life's safety and the company's existance. In this paper, I have made some research and application on the reliability design technology based on the door system of the metro car project in Kangni.First, we built a reliability work system, according to the enterprise's requirement, which contains three parts, reliability management subsystem, reliability technology subsystem, and reliability research subsystem.Then, in this paper, I have researched the application in detail of the reliability design technology on the side-door for passagers. After analyzing the structure and function of the side-door system, I made the reliability requirements, established the reliability frame and the reliability models of the side-door system, and then analyzed the fault data using the methods of FMECA (Failure Mode Effect and Criticality Analysis), and FTA (Fault Tree Analysis).Besides, I have researched many kinds of the methods of the reliability distribution and the reliability prediction. Then in this paper, I chose one of the methods respectively to distribute and predict the reliability of most parts of the side-door system. After comparing the results of the reliability distribution and prediction, I made a conclusion on the rise of the reliability of the side-door system in the product detailed design stage.Finally, I have developed and realized a KN-FRACAS (Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System) management system in this paper, with the Visual Basic.net and SQL Server 2000, to manage all the datas during the reliability work in a closed loop effectively.The achievement of this paper helps to support the further investigation and application of reliability engineering technology for the enterprises.
