Most substation equipments in power system of our country had used regular prophylactic repair and scheduled maintenance as the repair mode for a long time. With the scale of the power network increase rapidly, the voltage degree of the power transmission increases continually, the scale of networks becoming more and more complicated, and the increasing advance of requirements of the supply reliability by users, the disadvantages of the traditional prophylactic repair mode is becoming clearer.On the base of state assessment of the substation equipment, condition-based maintenance arranges the equipment repair items and time and takes the initiative in implementing overhaul considering the state and analysis result of the substation equipment. Thus repair mode is not only able to decrease unnecessary repair workload on substation equipments and improve the repair efficiency and quality, but also reduce down times for repairing, improve the reliability of power supply and reduce the repair expenses. Therefore, the condition-based maintenance is an ideal repair mode, which will bring the power department great economic benefit instead of the traditional schedule repair.Based on the substation equipment condition-based maintenance overhaul guide promulgated by the State Power Grid on May 1,2005, according to the detailed rules of condition-based maintenance management regulations of Jiangxi electric power corporation, the assistant decision system of substation equipments condition-based maintenance which is based on C/S mode is set up aiming at the transformer and breaker in the substation of Jian power supply company of Jiangxi. The functions of this software are composed of collecting and storing experimental data, analyzing data and trend, generating assessment report and putting forward suggestions on repairing of substation equipments status. Practical applications showed that the system has good effects.
