The traditional house plays a positive role on the society's urgent demanding for the housing during the alleviation urbanization advancement, by taking the mature construction management pattern, but for lack in the intensive control as well as high-energy in the construction process, the traditional house has created a heavy load for the nature and the social environment. Compared with traditional house, Steel structure house (SSH for short) is favored because it has many advantages. All these will make houses more comfortable, more functional, more automation-oriented, and more industrialized. SSH will be one of the major trends in the development of the housing industry for the 21st century.In order to promote the research of SSH and guide the industrialization of SSH, a research was conducted to comprehensively evaluate SSH based on market survey and economic & technical analysis.Through a careful study of a real case, this article analyzed the steel structure house and the traditional house's comprehensive property such as, and the function and cost of high steel residential building are founded. Based on the theory of systematic engineering, value engineering, sustainable development, This article unifies layer analysis and value engineering theory, establishes comprehensive evaluation model, including efficiency, serviceability, security, durability, energy conservation environmental protection, resources effect and industrial production degree, which is suitable for the SSH and can give a proposal optimal.Conclusion can be regarded as an improvement in the aspect of SSH. It is believed that researches will be of both theoretical and realistic significance, and of both important economic and social value.
