High-voltage Isolation Switch's Parameterized Modeling And The Research Of Rapid Configuration

Nowadays, the global economy is in a period of rapid development, Many enterprises accelerate the development of new products and continuously improve the production efficiency in order to meet the ever-changing market needs. At the same time, in order to seize the market and reduce the production cost, enterprises uses lots of new technology. Such as parametric technology and product configuration technology which used in product design, PDM technology which used in enterprise's products and production management. Since the 1980s, the virtual prototype technology and parameterized modeling technology developed very rapidly, many powerful three-dimensional design and analysis software applications to practice, such as UG, Pro/E, Inventor, etc. There are more type of characteristic PDM software were developed, many companies are implementing the PDM projects, these new technologies are to bring huge economic benefits for them.This paper based on the Yunnan Province's innovation of science and technology plan (2008AA012)-Yunnan KaiGuanChang high-low voltage switchgear equipment design and manufacture coordinated integrated demonstration engineering, taking the enterprise's new product GWâ–¡-126 type series high voltage outdoor isolation switch as an example to study of parameterized modeling and product configuration technology.This paper combines Inventor2008, the three-dimensional modeling software, with the parameterized modeling technology and parameterized assembly technology to realize switchgear equipment product's parameterized modeling. It makes parts, components, products be controlled by parameters, completed the parameterized modeling of the series products. At the same time, we could generate the components' structure BOM and information BOM through the function of BOM export.The main idea of this paper is studied in product configuration technology. At first, the author reviewed the development of product configuration technology at home and abroad, then introduced many types of product configuration methods and compared with them, analysis the method that how to express product structure trees in the database, studied deeply in configuration of switchgear products. Applying the method based on constraint to built vertical isolating switch product configuration knowledge database and related components database. Finally, combining virtual prototype technology with product configuration combining technology, application ADO technology in Visual Basic 6.0 to connect with SQL Server 2000 database, developed a rapid configuration system for Yunnan KaiGuanChang's new product-GWâ–¡-126 outdoor high-voltage isolating switch series products. According to the requirements, the configuration staff can realize the fast products' configuration and generate various type of BOM that every department needed by inputing product characteristic parameters. This paper mainly provides a kind of thought, combine three-dimensional modeling software with PDM system, for the enterprise. That will be directive significance for enterprise's implementation of PDM project.
