Corrugated board is widely used in packaging as their light weight, recyclable and low cost. With the increase of application of sandwich structures in engineering, the analysis of its mechanical behavior, structural design and calculation of the research have been further studied. The strength of containers is crucial to protect product from damaging. To save money and resources, it is significant for optimizing the structural parameters of containers through studying the mechanical properties of corrugated board. So the analysis of mechanical properties of corrugated sandwich structure is becoming more and more important. In this paper, the mechanical properties, of different types of corrugated board are studied. And the result provide theoretical basis for the selection of corrugated board.According to the different shapes and the different board layers, corrugated board can be divided into U-shaped, UV-shaped and V-shaped corrugated cardboard and the single corrugated cardboard, double and triple corrugated board etc. Different types of corrugated board have different mechanical properties. In this paper, based on existing basic theories, U-shaped, UV-shaped, V-shaped and double corrugated cardboard of the equivalent elastic constants is calculated. At last, the influence of corrugated shape and layers on mechanical properties of corrugated is analyzed by comparing.Mechanical properties of U-shaped, UV-shaped, V-shaped and double corrugated cardboard are emulated by ANSYS, then tension test in the MD and the CD and the shear test is performed. At last, through comparing the result of the simulation with the result of calculation, the influence of corrugated shape and layers on mechanical properties of corrugated is analyzed.Finally, the research conclusion and expectations are given and the keynotes of the future researches are pointed out.
